So Many Are In Need

Many of our sponsored students and their families are in desperate need of the simple things in life that we take for granted: a home that keeps them safe, nutritious and sustainable food, a chance to celebrate Chrismas without feeling hungry.

A New Home

Cement block, 2-room houses are being planned for several of our families. Your donation will go towards building these much needed shelters and help to keep these people safe from the elements.

Christmas Tamale Basket

This gift will feed a family of 12 or more and provides them with everything to make a traditional Tamale Christmas dinner. It includes: Oil, 15 lbs of rice, a block of drinking chocolate (this is traditional to drink at midnight), a loaf of bread, raisins grapes, apples, sugar, 5lbs of meat, tomatoes, one pound of coffee and leaves to wrap the tamales.

Chickens

Donate 3 egg laying hens to the family and provide a sustainable source of protein from eggs and meat, as well as a possible supplemental income.

Food

This basket of food will greatly improve the nutrition of the family. Most Mayan children are malnourished and severely lack protein in their diet. This basket will include: corn, rice, pasta, fruit, vegetables, eggs, possibly meat, and will feed a family of four for 1 month
